Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program provides evaluation, treatment, education/instruction, and consultative services related to neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, psychosocial and other medical functions.

Treatment includes the use of therapeutic and pain-relieving modalities, manual therapy, exercise and therapeutic activities, wound care, education and training in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, orthoses, and the adaptation of physical environments.

Rehabilitation also provides group programs for patient education in life skills, arthritis, wound care and pain management.

Consultation services are available to VA contract, skilled nursing facilities for durable medical equipment and review of therapy requests. Wheelchair/Scooter evaluations, Brace and Limb clinic, and home safety evaluations are available in a limited capacity.
